How spending 8M on Facebook changed my life.
Before becoming a coach, I was an online marketer for over a decade. I touched many marketing industries: Email marketing, Digital products, Copywriting, SEO ,and, of course, paid advertising (PPC).
Before becoming a coach, I was an online marketer for over a decade. I touched many marketing industries:
Email marketing
Digital products
Copywriting
SEO
And, of course, paid advertising (PPC).
With my business partner, we run a boutique agency and helped business owners find their way online. At the same time, we were running our offers and products.
It was fun and challenging.
We had average results, but we always knew that we were just starting.
We had dozens of unsuccessful projects. Most of the things we were trying at the start weren't good enough. And then, one day, reality shifted…
One product.
Thousands of customers.
Massive scale with an enormous profit.
End of story. 😁
I'm sure you've read similar stories online so many times that there is nothing special here... "Another boring success story".
I often asked myself why this specific offer exploded and others didn't. What did we do differently?
All our business friends were asking the same question... They tried to copy our funnel and strategy. But nothing really worked for them.
3 years passed since then. Still, no answer to why this specific project changed our lives forever.
Do you know why?
Because there is no answer, no secret or specific formula.
The only thing we did was:
Trying for years.
Accepting the pain of failure.
Trying again... And again.
And one day... It was our day.
Some people, especially those without business experience, say: "You just got lucky".
Luck is always around us. One day, you have it, and other you don't. I never focused on luck in my life.
On the hardest days, when everything was going against me and I needed support, I prayed.
It's interesting to mention. That no matter what. I never seriously thought to stop trying...
For me:
Being independent.
Working from where I want.
With whom I want.
And how much I want.
It is part of my DNA. It's not something I can easily erase from myself.
It’s important to remember that you can't know which project will be successful unless you are going to launch it and see how the market reacts.
The challenge isn't what you are trying to do.
The challenge is to start and keep trying. People cut their own success in their heads before they even started.
How many times have you said:
"Nope... It's not going to work."
"She/He will reject me."
Based on what you made these decisions?
Trying is hard.
It's hard to learn a new skill when you are tired and the only free time you have is a few hours at night.
It's painful to feel the failure of something you so hoped would succeed. I know...
But creating something new means being brave enough to be vulnerable. Accepting that not everything will shine, and you will feel negative emotions.
If you can get used to it. Sooner or later, you will have your day.
Sending a hug 🤗 to anyone who is trying something new despite their reality.
Take care,
Alex
