Why it's so hard to achieve what we want?

Everything and everyone is fighting for our attention, constantly requiring us to react. The world is so fast that it's not easy to keep up and keep our attention on the important things.

Hey,

It's Alex.

There are so many distractions these days…

Everything and everyone is fighting for our attention, constantly requiring us to react.

  • To answer some message.

  • To read an email.

  • To watch a video.

The world is so fast…

It’s become not easy to keep up and keep our attention on the important things.

Let me share how you can become better and keep your focus on what’s important…

It's hard to stay focused. It's a fact.

I'm not just talking about staying focused on a specific task, like writing or reading.

It's hard to stay focused on the long-term goals we choose for ourselves.

The modern lifestyle, by default, prevents us from being focused on our goals.

  • You want to lose weight? There are endless possibilities to lose or gain it.

  • You want to have more money? There are endless possibilities to make it, spend it, and lose it.

Most of the solutions to a lack of focus that I see online are ONLY tools and strategies.

Endless amount of information on "How to solve your problem."

But how can you choose what is the right solution for you?

I have a great time management system, backed by neuroscience, that I'm using with my clients.

However…

In most cases, this tool doesn't significantly change their reality.

How is that possible?

I mean, it's a great time management system — even backed by science and structured in a way that's comfortable for our brains.

You see…

It's happening because THE CORE of the problem of staying focused on what is important IS NOT in the tools that we choose to use.

It lies in our level of commitment to what we truly want.

  • Most people don't have a serious social scrolling addiction.

  • Most people don't have a time management problem as they think.

I can guarantee you…

A cold shower in the morning isn't going to change your life, even if it raises your dopamine level.

If there is no commitment to what you want, things are going to stay the same.

Does that make sense?

Things are going to stay the same because it's nearly impossible to change your way of being without a new commitment.

Commitment means = making a new decision.

A decision that slowly…

With baby steps, create something new in your life.

Without commitment, we are constantly looking for the next shiny solution…

A solution like:

  • A new coach

  • Therapist

  • Course

  • Or any new idea that your mind gives you just to escape commitment and actually do something about your problem.

It's so simple to understand…

But it can take months to make the decision actually to commit to something new.

Don't convince yourself that the new idea is better than one hundred others that you didn't try.

Don't convince yourself that you need more information in the era of AI.

It's NEVER the information that holds you back and makes you stuck in your life.

It's the lack of commitment to what you want.

In coaching sessions, for example:

After the insights phase and clearing limiting beliefs comes a time for a new commitment and new actions that practically make your life better.

The magic of Ontological coaching is that after the coaching procedure, it's quite hard to desire to stay in the same reality.

In most cases, the feeling is that nothing is missing anymore, and the desire is to focus on new actions day by day.

Don’t waste your time on distractions.

Take care,

Alex
